Chairman Wang Xinchao was named the “Person of the Year of China’s Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry 2007” by the Semiconductor International, with the title shared by other 5 persons including Zhang Rujing from SMIC. During the SEMICON China 2008, the Semiconductor International held its award ceremony and said in the speech that he played a good demonstration effect for China’s IC packaging and testing industry to get on the road of technical innovation and competitiveness enhancement. The Semiconductor International set up 6 awards for Person of the Year in respect of the wafer fab, packaging & testing plant and front-end equipment, back-end equipment, materials and service to the criteria of innovation, growth, influence and degree of localization and internationalization.
